Surface Preparation & Application Guide
1. Substrate Preparation
First, clean and dry your target surface. Intonachino applies exceptionally well over seasoned lime plasters, historic facade materials, and prepared interior drywall. Apply 1 coat of suitable primer and allow it to dry completely.
2. Plaster Application
Next, apply 2 coats of Coverit Intonachino using standard stainless steel plastering tools. Allow a minimum of 12 hours of dry time between coats. The plaster becomes touch dry within 1 to 4 hours at 20°C (68°F).
3. Sealing & Protection
Finally, seal the cured surface with 1 to 2 coats of diluted Marseille Soap to protect the finish while maintaining its breathable quality.
💡 Pro Tip: Trowel your second coat using circular motions with a sponge float while the material is still slightly damp. This technique brings the marble granules to the surface, enhancing its authentic rustic texture.
