Application Instructions & Wall Preparation
For optimal results, Calce Veneziano must be applied over smooth, fully prepared surfaces free of visible defects.
Surface Preparation
- Level 2 or 3 Drywall: Smooth the surface using standard drywall compound before application. Allow 24 hours to dry completely.
- Level 4 or 5 Drywall: Apply one coat of Texturline Texprime or Sharktooth Primer. Allow 4 hours drying time.
Plaster Application
- Base Coat: Apply a full, uniform coat of Calce Veneziano over the primed surface. Let dry for up to 4 hours (depending on humidity).
- Decorative Layer: Apply your decorative second coat using tight trowel strokes to build depth, movement, and soft, marble-like shading. Let dry for 24 hours.
Finishing & Burnishing
- Waxing: Apply a coat of burnishing wax to seal and protect the surface.
- Burnishing for High Sheen: Burnish with a stainless steel trowel to develop movement and shine. For an ultra-high mirror sheen, allow a minimum of 24 hours dry time and buff with an orbital sander fitted with a 3000-grit sanding disc.

- Coverage Rate: Approximately 500 to 700 sq. ft. per 25 kg pail (varies based on application thickness and total layers).
- Recommended Primers: Texturline Texprime or Sharktooth Primer.
