Step-by-Step Application Guide
Applying Urban Suede is as straightforward as traditional latex paint on properly primed drywall or plaster.
1. First Coat Application
Roll your first coat over a primed surface using a 6” microfiber roller. Apply in even, smooth passes to establish your base layer, then allow the surface to dry completely.
2. Second Coat & Texturing
Apply the second coat using a flat trowel or blade. Work the wet paint in sweeping, cross-hatched “X” motions across the wall. As it dries, this cross-hatching technique pulls the mineral reflection into a soft, cloudy suede pattern.
💡 Pro Tip: Keep your wrist loose while executing the cross-hatching technique with your blade. Varying the angle and direction of your strokes creates a far more organic, multi-dimensional suede texture as light hits the wall.
